Might Katy Perry wake up in Vegas married to Russell Brand? Maybe.
The singer — engaged to Brand since New Year's Eve — hasn't yet nixed a quickie Vegas wedding to the British comic.
When asked about the possibility of eloping, Perry, 25, told UsMagazine.com at a Grammys pre-party that "We just want it to mean something. It doesn't matter if it's just me and him or if it's a big, fat ordeal."
Although she was mum on more details about the wedding day, Perry said that her engagement is going "Fabulous! Better than I would imagine engagements typically do!"
How about a possible nuptial date? "I think when the time is right and we can both schedule it," she told Us. "And when the press doesn't know about it!"
Perry admitted to E!'s Ryan Seacrest on Sunday that Google ruined Brand's surprise proposal. She read about her boyfriend's ring-shopping exploits "on Google alerts. I'm going to be honest!"
Brand, 34, told Seacrest that "we were on an elephant" in India Dec. 31 just prior to his popping the question. "It was at midnight, and it is not a good idea to be on the back of an elephant during a fireworks display."
