It’s the final countdown! Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s wedding will happen today, May 24, and Florence’s Forte di Belvedere is almost ready for the biggest celebrity nuptials of the year.

Kim, 33, and her rapper fiance, 36, will say, “I do” in front of a spectacular wall of white flowers, a larger version of the gift Kanye sent his wife to celebrate Mother’s Day earlier this month.

“The blooms include white gardenias, white peonies and white roses from Paris and Belgium,” a source told Us Weekly, who added that two workers were tasked with the job of erecting the wall and hanging flowers onto pre-prepared square tiles with a wet foam backing early this morning.

“It’s very hot at the moment so they’ll have to spray them with water until the wedding starts to stop them from wilting,” the source said.

After the nuptials have taken place, guests will dine together on an impressive 70-meter-long marble banquet table—a gift from marble-craftsman Gualtiero Vannelli from a quarry in Carrara—which had to be hoisted up in pieces over the side of the fortress walls and assembled inside.

The table will be placed at a vantage point that gives guests the best view of the city. “They want guests to enjoy the skyline of Florence,” another source told Us.

The marble table will be decorated with matching floral arrangements, and a huge dance floor has been created in the garden of the fort, ready for Kim and Kanye to take their first dance together as husband and wife.

Security is heavy, with guards watching every entrance to the ancient fort, and also patrolling neighboring Boboli Gardens. Power generators have been stationed around the fort, covered with drapes to blend in with the sandy-colored fort walls, to keep the music and lights going late into the night.

Meanwhile, guests are shipping in from Paris on a combination of private and scheduled flights. Although the secret and intrigue is exciting for those lucky enough to have a ticket to the coveted event, the lack of details are proving tricky for those intimately involved in the big day.

“Kim and Kanye’s style team are freaking out about getting there on time,” a source told Us. “They were all on really early morning flights from Paris and everyone’s spread out on different flights and in different hotels.”

“The team are worried something will go wrong because Kim and Kanye are staying a long drive from where they’re staying. They genuinely don’t know anything and it’s causing a lot of stress,” the source added.

As guests arrive at Firenze Airport a fleet of Mercedes S-class cars—brought in from Rome as there weren’t enough cars in Florence for the entire wedding party—will whisk them to their secret hotel locations.

“The request was that every car is identical,” said another source, explaining that no detail has been left to chance.

Guests are expected to start arriving at the 17th Century fort around 6pm local time, and despite Kim’s concerns that Paris’ weather would rain on her parade, the future Mrs West will be happy to see the Italian sunshine is shining brightly for her big day.
