Kim Kardashian Subtly Disses Taylor Swift in Joint Interview With Kanye West

Everything has changed! Kim Kardashian and Kanye West don’t rock out to Taylor Swift‘s music behind closed doors — just in case you were wondering. The “Wildest Dreams” singer briefly came up during the couple’s new interview with Harper’s Bazaar, which was published online on Thursday, July 28.

“Favorite Taylor Swift song?” the parents of two were asked.

“For me? I don’t have one,” West, 39, replied.

Kardashian, 35, then chimed in with this pointed remark: “I was such a fan of hers.”

West’s relationship with Swift has been rocky since 2009, when he interrupted her MTV Video Music Awards acceptance speech. Although they eventually made amends, a second feud ignited in February following the release of the rapper’s song “Famous.”

“I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous,” he raps on the track. Swift, 26, bashed him for the “misogynistic” remark and slammed him during the Grammy Awards that same month. Kardashian later insisted in a GQ interview that West called Swift about the song. She released snippets of their phone conversation via Snapchat on July 18.

“Kim is glad that the truth is out there,” an insider previously told Us Weekly. “Kim was sick of it for them, for their kids, for everyone who believes in them, and she was not going to let people take Kanye down.”

Swift responded to Kardashian’s actions in an Instagram post. “Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me ‘that bitch’ in his song? It doesn’t exist because it never happened. You don’t get to control someone’s emotional response to being called ‘that bitch’ in front of the entire world. Of course I wanted to like the song. I wanted to believe Kanye when he told me that I would love the song. I wanted us to have a friendly relationship. He promised to play the song for me, but he never did. While I wanted to be supportive of Kanye on the phone call, you cannot ‘approve’ a song you haven’t heard,” she wrote that same day.

“Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination,” she continued. “I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since 2009.”
