Kim Kardashian: Why I Won't End Up Like Paris Hilton

Kim Kardashian's frenemy Paris Hilton was arrested over the weekend for felony cocaine possession -- her third link to drugs this summer.
How has Kardashian, 30, managed to stay out of trouble?
"I've never been a drinker, I've never gotten into drugs," she said on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno Tuesday. "You know, I think I have such a close family. I think, you know, at a young age. I think you know my sisters do enough drinking to kind of fill up the whole family.
"From a young age, my dad made it very clear that, 'OK, you're the responsible one and you have to watch your sister, and (he) taught me how to drive when I was 14 in case my sister or her friends were going to be drinking and I always had permission to drive," continued Kardashian (whose younger sister Khloe was arrested for DUI in 2007). "You know, I had to call him from the destination and the final place. I always felt this sense of pride that he had in me that I was the responsible one so I always wanted to make him proud. And I hate the taste of alcohol."

She does, however, indulge in a White Russian occasionally.
"I said at 30 I'm gonna at least have a drink to lighten-up 'cause my sisters say I'm so boring," she told Leno. "So I tried a White Russian a few months ago. If I have one, it tastes like chocolate milk and it's kind of amazing. So every once and a while, but I'm 30 so it's OK."

The family would sell their soul if they could just read they have a store in las vegas, who cares, and why would anyone want to go there is all copied stuff. They are now getting sued by several company's for coping purses. the shouw wont be on too much longer and then she will be cryng "I have no money" their are people trying to live and eat and this family throws money away.
Ok, so we all know Kim Kardashian is a lier. I used to believe she had a real body and all but since we all know more about this trash now she's an obvious lier. And I bet ya she lieing bout this too! And for the 14 year old girls sticking up for kim and saying 'why do you read it and leave a comment if you dont like her' CAUSE SHE NEEDS TO GO AWAY NOW. All the stories on her are absoulty pointless and stupid, go away.
There's a difference between having an occasional drink and being a "drinker". I think that's what Kim means. Most people are not going to label somebody who has a drink once in a while as a "drinker". Just like everybody tells lies but some people are flat out "liars"--the emphasis is on the severity of the action.
Kim is lying. I've seen old photos of her out partying with Paris where she's drinking liquor STRAIGHT FROM THE BOTTLE. Any claim she makes you can verify or nullify with a little, simple research. At least she doesn't seem to have a chemical abuse problem. I give her credit for that. But, her trying to act like she's JUST STARTED DRINKING ALCOHOL is just that...AN ACT. I would have more (or at least SOME) respect for Kim, if she wasn't always using LIES to win favor.
@Gabby: U don't like her, but you're on here posting comments on the article. And you complain that US weekly always reports on them, well you seem to write a comment, so why if don't lik her?
Preston Fox: How exactly is Kim a good example? She made a porn to get famous. Lawrence Fishburnes daughter said she went into porn because she saw how famous Kim got after she released her porn. She's a terrible example for girls/women. Teaching them to go to any lengths, using their body and sex, - just for 15 minutes of fame. Kim will be has-been in a few years - she has ZERO talent. She has zero personality and she's a bore.
She is such a boring, fake, vapid ho. She got famous because she released a porn. Now she tries to act all saintly, prim and proper. But she's just an average ho --with tons of plastic surgery -- that sold her soul to get famous. It's funny she acts so snotty about Paris, but Paris is part of the reason she's "famous" - she would go to bars with Paris before she released her porn.just to get photographed by the paps. She truly is a worthless, uneducated slag.
Why are the Kardashian's, and Paris Famous? I seriously need to know. This is ridiculous. Please stop reporting on them constantly.
@who am I to say--have you ever watched the show? Her sisters DO drink alot although Kourtney has toned it down alot since she's had the baby. Kim is DEFINITELY the mature, responsible one of the bunch!!
Did her father also teach her it was "responsible" to make sex tapes - do you think she felt that same sense of pride? I have to disagree with "Preston Fox" because Kim's important things in life are money, money and her mother's 10% commission. Oh wait, I forgot - money.
I LOVE Kim. She is such a good example of all of the celebrities out there. She does wear a little too much makeup, but she knows what the important things in life are. She deserves the spotlight! Paris is OUT! So over her and her fake persona.
I love Kim and she is very responisble. Glad she stays out of that trouble and continues her path to success!
Damn, talk about throwing her sisters under the bus. What she basically said is that her sisters are drunks and she's the only responsible one. I don't know that I'd be too pleased to read my sister's comments if I were Kourtney or Khloe. I'm sure the fallout will show up on this season of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
