Kristin Cavallari was the belle of the ball!
The 24-year-old Laguna Beach star looked breathtaking in a strapless blue Maria Lucia Hohan gown, which she accessorized with a stack of bracelets and a gold belt. Cavallari first agreed to attend the event in August when the Camp Pendleton-based Marine sent her an invitation via Twitter.
Late Thursday night, Cavallari -- who was among the 1,600 Marines and their dates -- tweeted that she "had a great time" with Burkett.
Burkett, 25, also tweeted that he had "an amazing time" at the Pechanga Casino and Resort in Temecula, Calif. "Glad you got to enjoy the Marine Corps Ball!" he told Cavallari.
He also thanked Cavallari's on-again beau, Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, for allowing her to be his date. "Glad she was able to come!" Burkett wrote. "You have an awesome girlfriend and hopefully wife!"
Cutler responded the next morning, saying Cavallari "is the best. We appreciate all your sacrifices. Let me know if I can ever help with anything."
Cavallari isn't the first star to attend a Marine Corps Ball this year: Justin Timberlake joined Cpl. Kelsey De Santis in in Richmond, Virginia, on November 12, and Mila Kunis is scheduled to attend the Marine Corps Ball in Greenville, North Carolina, with Sgt. Scott Moore on Friday.
