Futuristic makeup or historically offensive? Kylie Jenner raised some eyebrows on Saturday, April 4, when she shared pictures of a new photo shoot on Instagram.
In the shots, the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, 17, sported heavy dark facial makeup and originally captioned the image, "What I wish I looked like all the time."
Many of the reality star's nearly 20 million followers immediately started bashing Jenner for going blackface for the shoot. She took down the post and replaced it with another image, writing, "This is a black light and neon lights people lets all calm down @marcelocantuphoto @joycebonelli @chrisdylanhair @hubblestudio."
The makeup-loving teen also took to Twitter to clarify her original caption.
Yes, In another world I wish I could have pink hair & blue eyes & covered in sparkles.

"so just got the time to head on social media lol.. The photographer used a black light & neon lights for those photos," she began, adding, "Yes, In another world I wish I could have pink hair & blue eyes & covered in sparkles. But in this world I'm happy w the way God created me. Happy Easter everybody."
