Did that really just happen?
O'Brien and King got onto the unlikely subject of marijuana while discussing their mutual friend Snoop Dogg during the show on Wednesday, Aug. 6.
After O'Brien relayed a story of Snoop Dogg's pot smoking he asked veteran journalist King whether he'd ever puffed on a "jazz cigarette."
"I smoked it a few times with my doctor," King admitted. "It was very enjoyable, I liked it, but I used to smoke a lot of cigarettes and I had a heart attack in 1987," he continued.
"The day I got the heart attack I stopped smoking, and I was afraid to ever go back to marijuana again because I thought if I smoked marijuana, I'd go back to cigarettes," the 80-year-old broadcaster revealed.
"What about edible marijuana?" O'Brien asked.
"I'm not a cookie man," replied King, at which point the show host pulled out a "pot brownie" and invited his guest to take a bite.
"Ok, I'll take a bite if you take a bite," said King, before turning to Andy Richter and including him in the deal.
