DiCaprio "wishes to commend the actions of the pilot and flight crew in bringing the plane to a safe landing," his rep says.
Adds a source: "Leo signed autographs for all the crew members when they landed."
The actor was headed to attend the Tiger Summit -- a four day meeting to discuss ways to prevent the extinction of tigers, headed by Russian leader Vladimir Putin -- in St. Petersburg.

5So he was supposedly on a JFK flight, Had to make an emergency landing at JFK, and yet he wants to do a biopic on JFK? Hmmm, I don't know about you but maybe this is a sign. Could be a good sign, could be a bad sign, Who knows. Either way, I would be kinda skeptical.
Somtimes the airline stewardesses can be kind of snooty and not very friendly. One time when I was on a flight to Disney World, the airline lady gave me the finger.
I wacked myself in the face once with one of them airplane bathroom doors. Airplanes are alot of fun sometimes, as long as they don't crash, or you get off the plane with black and blue marks like I did.
I wonder what type of peanuts they had on the flight? I love me some honey roasted peanuts!
Well so much for meeting Vladimir Poontang!
