Melanie Griffith Takes Tattoo Removal a Step Further, Covers Up Entire Tattoo Days After Just Removing Antonio Banderas' Name From Her Heart
Taking things to the next level! Seems Melanie Griffith has decided that erasing Antonio Banderas' name from her famous heart tattoo following the announcement of their split, wasn't nearly enough.
Just two days after making a bold statement by obscuring her former lover's name from the middle of her heart tattoo on Tuesday, June 17, the 56-year-old actress has stepped out on the red carpet again, and this time she's erased her trademark ink altogether.

Posing for photographers at another cocktail party during Italy's Taormina Film Festival on Thursday, June 19, Griffith, who had initially covered her upper arm with a black shawl, wriggled her shoulders free of the fabric to display her lack of tattoo.
Looking trim in a her strapless cream gown with black lace detailing, Griffith smiled for pictures with fellow stars Ben Stiller and wife Christine Taylor, the only clue to her former tattoo being a slightly noticeable pale patch of makeup on her right upper arm.
The Working Girl actress and her husband Banderas, 53, announced their intention to split to Us Weekly on Friday, June 6. "We have thoughtfully and consensually decided to finalize our almost 20-year marriage in a loving and friendly manner honoring and respecting each other, our family, and friends and the beautiful time we have spent together," they said in a joint statement.
A source told Us the split had been a long time coming. "There was no cheating on either side. They had fallen out of love awhile ago," the source said. "Their daughter Stella is about to be 18 in September and they wanted to wait until [the] kids were grown and out of the house before they split up, but knew they would awhile ago. They stayed together for the sake of the kids."
