Opposites attract? The Grammys may have had Madonna and Macklemore, but the Knicks and Lakers had Meryl Streep and 50 Cent. On Sunday, Jan. 26 -- while the rest of the world was glued to the action at L.A.'s Staples Center -- the August: Osage County Oscar nominee, 64, and the rapper, 38, bonded courtside at Madison Square Garden.

The two were photographed sitting next to each other at Sunday's game between the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks. They appeared to get on famously; at one point, they joined hands as they shared a laugh.

Fiddy -- sporting a New York Jets knit cap, jeans, and a hooded jacket -- shared his own pictures from the evening on Instagram. "Man I got a good life," the Get Rich or Die Tryin' actor captioned one shot of himself with the screen legend, who wore a black sweater, bright orange scarf, and glasses.

The unlikely friends even snapped a few photos together outside the locker rooms after the game. In one image posted to the rapper's Instagram account, he stands flanked by both Streep and Lakers star Kobe Bryant.

"Best Ball KOBE, Best Rap 50, Best Actress Meryl Streep," he captioned the awesome shot. "TOP THAT."

Alongside another picture -- this one of the trio striking a funny pose -- he joked, "Things got a little gangsta. Lol TURN UP, Turn Down for what!"
