Miley Cyrus: I "Don't Want Anything to Do" With 'New Moon'

Don't bother asking Miley Cyrus if she's on Team Edward or Team Jacob.
She says she doesn't care for Twilight and has no interest in seeing New Moon.
"I've never seen it and nor will I ever," Cyrus, 16, said recently during an interview with Cleveland radio station Q92.

"I don't believe in it," she says. "I don't like vampires. ... I don't like the wolf that pops out of the screen when I'm watching my TV at night. I don't like it. I don't want anything to do with it. I don't like the shirts. I don't like any of it."

Cyrus said she feels odd not being among the throngs of people rushing to see New Moon on Friday.
"I feel really lame because everyone's, like, so excited," Cyrus said. "I'm like, 'Don't even talk about it.'"

FINALLY! I KNEW there had to be something Miley and I could agree on. Thank god. However, on the downside, I think she's trying to "look cool" to the "older audience" by saying she doesn't like it. Still, she's a hillbilly with no taste. =)

o_0 forums are so annoying. People are acting like Miley said 'hey press, come see me! I have something to say about Twilight.' Clearly Us magazine or some journalist came to her to ask her about a movie she has nothing to do with for some odd reason and she responded. And I love how people post on an on about how no one cares about what miley has to say. Yet, you are wasting your time hating. Miley is a very talented young girl and has managed to become very successful. She's not sitting on her *egh ehm* playing videogames all day and bashing celebs. I'm not a big fan of Miley or Twilight and I commend her for not buying into the hype like many other teens her age.

I must admit I don't really like the Twilight merchandise either. The New Moon merch is a bit better though. Anyway, big deal people just because she doesn't like Twilight doesn't mean she's hating on it. She gave an opinion, there's nothing wrong, hateful or stupid about that.
I find it hysterical that a no talent like Miley thinks anyone cares about her opinion! If you don't like someone else's movie or book, just don't watch or read it. If you're asked about it, have some class and just say that it's not your thing. Miley can't sing, she can't dance- she's just another cookie cutter pop star with a very short shelf life. She's lucky that she has a father who knows the business well enough to make sure she capitolizes on her 15 minutes of fame, because he knows all too well that in 5 years, people will be asking, "Miley who?"
