— Now that Simon Cowell and Kara DioGuardi are out, would pop diva Mariah Carey ever consider becoming a judge on American Idol? "She talks about it. She says, 'I would love to do that,'" her husband Nick Cannon, 29, says. "She is one of the greatest singers of our time; she would be great. I don't know if she has enough time, though, but if they could work with her schedule, I know she would love to do Idol. Let's start the campaign!" [OMG! via The Hollywood Reporter]

— It sure pays to put your lives in front of the cameras — just ask Snooki and Kate Gosselin! After recently renegotiating her MTV contract, Jersey Shore's pint-sized reality star, 22, now earns $30,000 per episode. But that's nothing compared to Gosselin, 35, who makes an estimated $250,000 an episode while shooting Kate Plus 8. TV's biggest earner, though, is none other than troubled actor Charlie Sheen, who makes a whopping $1.25 million an episode for Two and a Half Men. [Star Pulse]

— After Prop. 8 was overturned in California last week (which previously denied homosexuals the right to marry), Lady Gaga felt so inspired by the news that she immediately began penning new music. "I felt like it was a revolution, a gunshot went off. It was so exciting when it happened. For me, it was a moment that indicates it can happen in every state now," the singer, 24, says. "I went right into the studio and I kept writing. [My album] kind of is done, but I can't stop writing music. I don't know what I'm going to do. I might have to put out two records." [MTV]

Harry Potter's Daniel Radcliffe is on the prowl! The single actor, 21, dishes on his recent breakup and his new single life in the September issue of Out magazine. "I was in a relationship with somebody for just about three years, and we broke up just shortly before we hit that mark," Radcliffe says. "At the moment, I'm just being single and running around chasing girls. I'm not getting too many responses, but, yes, I’m having a go." [Perez Hilton]

Nicolas Cage has nothing but nice things to say about Mad Men's January Jones, his co-star in the upcoming film The Hungry Rabbit Jumps. "I think she’s going to be a very big movie star," Cage, 46, gushes. "She's just wonderful. In fact, I want to talk to her because I think we should work together again. It's a good chemistry and there’s something about her that's compelling and dangerous to watch." [Just Jared]
