O.J. Simpson and Nicole Brown Simpson’s two children, Sydney and Justin, made a rare public appearance at a relatively high-profile event on Saturday, February 20. The two attended Laguna Beach alum Casey Reinhardt and Sean Brown’s lavish wedding at the Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Coast, California.
Sean is the cousin of Sydney, 30, and Justin, 27. Nicole’s sister Denise Brown is Sean’s mother.
Sydney and Justin were only 8 and 5 years old, respectively, when Nicole was murdered outside their home in L.A.’s Brentwood neighborhood in 1994. Their dad, O.J., was charged with and then acquitted of her murder.
Their appearance comes amid FX’s widely popular new series The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.
Khloe Kardashian, whose late father, Robert Kardashian, served as one of O.J.’s lawyers during the infamous case, recently expressed her sympathy for Sydney and Justin, who have to relive their mother’s death in the public eye again.
“I more felt bad for the kids, Sydney and Justin,” Kardashian, who is also portrayed in the series, said during a recent episode of her show, Kocktails With Khloe. “I’m like, how f–ked up that they … You’ll never get over your mom being murdered, and now they have to be stalked with paparazzi again?”
