Is Taylor Swift trading pop for punk?

Fresh off her dramatic performance at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles on Nov. 18, the 22-year-old singer headed to the set of her new music video, where she was spotted looking more rock 'n' roll vixen than country sweetheart.

Changing out of the gold Zuhair Murad mini dress she wore to accept her AMA for Favorite Female Artist, Swift slipped into a pair of cut-off denim shorts, a slouchy sweatshirt, and a black leather jacket. Her normally long blonde locks were cut short to her shoulder and dip-dyed pink.

The edgy new makeover was for the video for "I Knew You Were Trouble," the third single from the chart-topper's smash album, Red. There's no word yet on which of Swift's exes the dub-step anthem is about, but in the video at least, her love interest is played by Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark star Reeve Carney, 29. The two were spotted cozying up on set.

Offscreen, the singer -- newly single since splitting with Conor Kennedy, 18 -- has been seen hanging out with another heartthrob: One Direction's Harry Styles, 18. X Factor host Mario Lopez said Friday that he witnessed the two walking "hand-in-hand" during rehearsals for Swift's Nov. 15 appearance on the show.

Not to worry, though -- the star still has plenty of love to go around for her fans.

"Thank you so much for the AMA! You're unreal," she tweeted to her 20 million followers after performing on Sunday night. "I went straight from the awards to a night video shoot. Long day but so worth it."
