Hats off to Princess Beatrice!
The 23-year-old royal graduated from Goldsmiths College on Friday with a 2:1 in History and History of Ideas.
Her parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, were beaming with pride as their daughter celebrated the academic milestone. (Beatrice's younger sister, Eugenie, was not present for the ceremony.)
The former royal couple released a joint statement Friday praising their daughter's academic success and personal growth over the past three years.
"We are both incredibly proud of Beatrice and the hard work she has put in to achieve this excellent result," they said. "We would also like to thank all of the staff at Goldsmiths for their support of Beatrice."
Beatrice also released a statement to commemorate the special day.
"I have had the most amazing university experience. Goldsmiths College is a wonderful place to study," she said. "I am so lucky to have had the support of the incredible tutors and staff. I am so excited about my results. I wish everyone graduating today congratulations as well."
"Princess Beatrice will over the coming months broaden her knowledge and experience to complement her position as a member of the Royal Family," Buckingham Palace said Thursday. "This will involve undertaking a number of internships to develop her experience, particularly in business and philanthropy."
Beatrice will continue to work with Children in Crisis, the charity her mother founded, as well as the Teenage Cancer Trust.
