Rapper T.I. Released from Prison
Live your life, T.I.!
The rapper (real name: Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr.) was released from prison Wednesday morning, his attorney confirms to the Associated Press. The Atlanta-based star was serving a weapons violation sentence.
In October 2010, the 30-year-old was sentenced to 11 months in prison for breaking his federal probation after he was arrested in L.A. on drug charges.
This wasn't T.I.'s first stint in the slammer. He previously served seven months in an Arkansas prison in 2009. He was originally arrested in 2007 for trying to buy unregistered guns and silencers from undercover federal agents.
"The storm is over and da sun back out," he tweeted Wednesday. "It's our time to shine, shanty! Welcome to the beginning of our happy ending."
