Regis and Kelly Help 'America's Most Wanted' Catch a Killer

A murderer placed just last week on the U.S. Marshal's 15 Most Wanted list is now in custody -- thanks to a segment on Friday morning's Live! with Regis and Kelly.
America's Most Wanted host John Walsh appeared on Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa's show to promote the 1000th episode of his FOX series, set to air Saturday; during his Live! segment, a Wanted promo aired, featuring the case of fugitive killer Albert James Turner Jr..

Within hours of the Live! broadcast, a viewer tip led to Turner's incident-free arrest Friday morning at a Concord, N.H. mall.
A former state corrections officer, Turner stabbed his wife Keitha Turner and mother-in-law Betty Joe Frank in Texas on Dec. 27, 2009; several of his children witnessed the crime. Turner had been on the run ever since.

"Thanks to America's Most Wanted and a viewer tip, Turner will now get a different perspective of what it is like to be in a prison," John F. Clark, Director of the U.S. Marshals Service, said in a statement. "The fact that he committed horrible crimes in front of his children makes his capture even more satisfying."

Wow Sal, you sound like a public defender. I guess you would be singing a different tune if it was your mother, wife or sister that had been murdered by this innocent until proven guilty man. Anywho, I thought that the suspect had fled with one of the daughters. Or am I getting him confused with another fugitive they were talking about on the show?
Actually, Sal, I know the victim's family, and he is guilty. His wife and kids were staying with her parents because he had become abusive. He snuck into their house, hid in a closet, and attacked her once she was in bed. Her mom came to her aid, and she was stabbed to death, as well. Their four children and his father-in-law witnessed all of this. He then fled the scene and the state. So, as for your professional journalism, perhaps you should check some facts before posting you hope this man is found innocent and then sues. This man is a cold-blooded killer.

Im glad the murderer was caught-(alledgedly for the uptight journalist that doesnt think his own children seeing the crime of their mother and grandmother being shot is credible enough!)And no- its not cool that it was in Concord NC but it was a big story in NC and everyone was praying this fool was caught!Nothing wrong with correcting the location of the story!

Gee, US Weekly, so much for "innocent until proven guilty." The man has been CHARGED, but you cannot state for a fact that he murdered someone before a trial. As an actual professional journalist, I hope these people are proven innocent and then turn around and sue. You kinda screw his chance for a fair trial when you're walking around saying as fact that he did it.

That's awesome! Love Regis & Kelly. I don't know why anybody would say she is full of herself. She is authentic as they come. She admits she is vain about certain things and that's more than most of we woman will say outloud. She's very adorable. I'd be her BFF in a second.

Are they sure it's Concord NH? I live in NH and I haven't heard one peep from the newscasts regarding this. If someone who murdered that many people was caught in my state you think I would hear something.

Now I read the posts and see it was Concord NC. Either way, I visit family in NC all the time and have been to the mall in Concord NC. Im from NH.
Wow, I go to that mall ALL THE TIME! My boyfriend is incarcerated at the prison in Concord, and I go to the mall, while waiting to see him. Sketchy......glad hes caught though.
Thank goodness that horrible criminal is now off the streets. I must agree that Regis has quite an ego, Kelly is so full of herself as well. Kathie Lee is so self-righteous it is not even funny.

Kudos to Adam Walsh for his endless efforts on finding criminals, and to Regis and Kelly for having this segment on their show which resulted in the capture of this criminal.
