Cha-ching! Selena Gomez, the most followed celebrity on Instagram, has the potential to make an unfathomable amount of money for a single sponsored post.

According to data measurement company D’Marie Analytics, 23-year-old Gomez is the most influential star on the social media platform. Sitting atop a list that includes other notable names such as Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and Rihanna, the “Kill Em With Kindness” singer is worth a whopping $550,000 when the messaging for a particular brand or product is shared across her Instagram, Facebook and Twitter pages. She has nearly 200 million followers among the three platforms.

AdWeek reports that Gomez’s online value has dramatically increased since December 2015, when D’Marie estimated that the Disney Channel alum would be able to charge approximately $230,000 for a sponsored post.

D’Marie Group CEO Frank Spadafora spoke with AdWeek about the formula used to determine the pop star’s high price tag.

“The rate-per-post is her ‘ad equivalent’ value per post across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. This may be different than how much she is actually getting paid when participating in social media campaigns. That is up to negotiations between her agents and the brands,” he explained. “This valuation is based on D’Marie’s algorithm which measures 56 metrics including followers, post frequency, engagement, quality of post, click-through and potential to create sales conversions from her social content.”

Spadafora noted that Gomez — who boasts 90.5 million Instagram followers and has previously partnered with brands such as Coca-Cola and Pantene — chooses not to inundate fans’ newsfeeds with sponsored content.

“It’s interesting that the statistically most influential person on social media is engaged in noticeably less campaigns than other celebrities,”he told AdWeek. “Personally, I think it’s because she’s being smart and she’s aware that oversaturating her social feeds with sponsored content could negatively impact the relationship she has with her audience.”

As previously reported, Gomez recently took the crown for the most-liked Instagram photo. The winning snapshot — which has garnered 4.6 million double-taps and counting, not to mention more than 122,000 comments since it was posted on June 25 — features the brunette beauty dressed in a bright red ribbed tank top paired with matching crimson nails and bombshell curls. She’s sipping from a classic Coke bottle, which reads, “You’re the spark,” a line from her track “Me & the Rhythm.”

“when your lyrics are on the bottle 😛,” she appropriately captioned the ’gram.

Before Gomez shot straight to the top to claim Instagram’s most-liked image, her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber held the peak position thanks to a throwback photo featuring the “Hands to Myself” songstress. In the pic — which JB posted in March and which received more than 3.7 million likes — the former couple share a smooch while embracing in the ocean. It also has more than a million comments.

Earlier this month, the Spring Breakers actress opened up about her massive online following in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“It comes in a moment when I capture something happening, and I go, ‘Oh, that would be great for Instagram; I should post it,'” she told THR for a cover story about social media. “I know it’s boring, but that’s genuinely what I do.”

She continued, “It wasn’t my goal to be the most-followed person,” but added, “It’s my favorite social platform.”
