Last week's Glee episode saw Lea Michele in tears as she gave an emotional farewell performance (in character as Rachel Berry) to costar and off-screen boyfriend Cory Monteith. Entitled "The Quarterback," the tribute episode was clearly painful for everyone on the Glee cast, but Michele, 27, remains determined to move forward with her life and career.
The Broadway veteran is currently recording her debut solo album -- a project that's been more than a year in the making -- and on Oct. 13, she shared some sexy shots with fans from the cover shoot.
The images feature a super-slim Michele in midriff-baring ensembles looking dramatic and glamorous. In a solo shot the actress shows off her slender legs with high-waisted black bottoms and a long-sleeve bedazzled crop top. Another look features Michele in a form-fitted white dress with a large oval cutout in the middle.
In November 2012, the actress told Canada's Flare Magazine that recording the album was "a long, slow process." Glee's new fall filming schedule and the painful sudden loss of Monteith have likely contributed to even more delays, but this photo shoot indicates Michele's in the final stages.
No release date has been issued for the project, but the native New Yorker did tweet, " I'm so excited for u guys to hear my album. It's so special to me. Im so grateful for u all. Thank u for giving me so much love & support."
