Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag, Brody Jenner Reunite With "The Crew" in Malibu: Picture
The gang's all here! Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag reunited with his former best friend Brody Jenner on Thursday, May 1, four years after the once-inseparable pals had a very public falling-out on The Hills.
"Brody's an incredible friend. We all got caught up playing our Hills characters for awhile, but now that we're back to actual reality, it's all good," Pratt, 30, tells Us Weekly. "We all went out to celebrate his new podcast. He's great, we're great."
Things do indeed appear to be very amicable between the two. Pratt shared a photo from their fun night out together via Instagram, writing, "Amazing night @nobumalibu with the crew!" The pic shows the former Hills stars at a table with three other people, including Jenner's mom Linda Thompson. (The Hee Haw actress had two sons, Brody and Brandon, with ex-husband Bruce Jenner.)
It's unclear when exactly they started hanging out again, but there were hints last summer that the ice was thawing between them. After Jenner confronted his dad about their strained relationship on an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Pratt offered his support via Twitter.
"@BrodyJenner spoke from his heart and that takes courage!" the former MTV star wrote.
That sentiment was in stark contrast with what Pratt told Us Weekly about his ex-BFF in 2010. "I saw that tattoo that he got," he said at the time, referring to Jenner's "F--K" ink. "He should add '-ing idiot' to it!"
The reality star went on to slam Jenner's taste in women. "You've only dated famous girls for the past six years, and I'm the attention whore?" he scoffed. "[Kristin] Cavallari to LC [Lauren Conrad] to Lindsay Lohan to Avril Lavigne?"
The outburst was in response to a radio interview Jenner had done with Kidd Kraddick in the Morning in May 2010, a few months before the series finale of The Hills. "I actually think he's kind of lost it a little bit," the Princes of Malibu star had said of Pratt, whose behavior on the MTV show was becoming increasingly erratic. "Lately, it's hard for me -- even as someone who used to be best friends with him -- to see what's real and what's not...I see he wants attention."
