Way to go, Dee! Clueless star and longtime conservative Stacey Dash has officially been signed by Fox News. The actress and activist, 47, will serve as a contributor, offering "cultural analysis and commentary across various daytime and primetime programs," Fox News executive vice president Bill Shine explained in a statement.
"Stacey is an engaging conversationalist whose distinctive viewpoints amongst her Hollywood peers have spawned national debates – we’re pleased to have her join Fox News," Shine said.
Dash stirred up some controversy in 2012 when she publicly endorsed Republican candidate Mitt Romney over President Barack Obama.
"The main objective of our nation must be repairing the economy," Dash wrote in an essay to TMZ after her endorsement. "All our social concerns must come after this. Without a stable economy our great nation fails. Perhaps I publicly endorsed Romney from a slightly naive place, thinking that I could speak my voice without being criticized in such racially charged and hateful tones."
After she starred as Cher's best friend Dionne in the hit 1995 film Clueless, Dash went on to appear in the Clueless TV series, starred in the short-lived drama Single Ladies on VH1, and had a guest role on TV Land's The Exes in 2013.
