Tyler Perry Pleads With Public to Show Bobbi Kristina Brown, Her Family “Some Decency and Respect” as She Remains in Hospice Care

In a new Facebook post, Tyler Perry plead with the public to show "some decency and respect" to Bobbi Kristina Brown and her family.

Tyler Perry penned a detailed letter about close family friend Bobbi Kristina Brown on Friday, July 17, as the only daughter of the late Whitney Houston and R&B singer Bobby Brown remains in hospice care.

“This morning I woke up with Whitney on my mind,” the multi-hyphenate, 45, wrote on his Facebook page. “I couldn’t help but think about all that she must have dreamed for her child. I know this was not her dream…”

He then called out fake rumors surrounding the Brown and Houston families. “And as difficult as this time is for the people that love both Whitney and Krissi, what makes it more egregious is the blatant disrespect, lies, and ignorance that are rapidly printed in this awful time,” Perry wrote.

“For some reason, it has become human nature in our society to look for, seek out, and celebrate darkness, glory in tragedy, and enjoy reading and reporting it. It makes me sad to know that everybody wants to be the first to report something awful.”

The actor, writer, and producer, who has been a longtime close friend of the Brown family, told his 12 million followers that the R&B scion was still here.

“They find it OK to speak death onto those who are still alive,” he said. “May I ask you all to please show some decency and respect? Not only to Krissi’s family, but also to the other families that are there in this place. Not only is Krissi at the center but there are several other families who are grieving the loss of their loved ones at the same time. It’s heartbreaking to think that even in a time like this, this child is still not allowed any peace.”

If anything develops, Perry said the public will hear it from the Brown and Houston families directly. “I assure you, the family will issue an official statement if something changes,” he wrote. “Until then, can we just pray for Krissi, and the Houston and Brown families?”

This isn’t the first time Perry has lent support to the Brown family since Bobbi Kristina was found unresponsive in a bathtub on Jan. 31. As previously reported, Perry offered up his private plane to Bobby Brown as soon as he heard the news of Bobbi’s hospitalization this past winter. “Tyler was absolutely shocked by the news,” a source told Us at the time. “He heard the news and immediately offered Bobby Brown a flight in his private jet, which is why they arrived at the hospital together.”

A source close to the family told Us on Thursday, July 16, that Perry was again lending his private plane to fly Bobby to Atlanta that same day.

Bobbi has remained in hospice care since late last month, and her family has ensured that she’s surrounded by loved ones. Her aunt Pat Houston has been by her side for days. Meanwhile, an ongoing investigation continues against her boyfriend Nick Gordon, who is banned from visiting Bobbi.
