Vanessa Minnillo Takes Nick Lachey's Surname

Vanessa Minnillo made things official with Nick Lachey when they tied the knot in July -- and now she's got the Twitter handle to match!
"So. . .I'm making it official, and I LOVE my 'new name!'" the 31-year-old tweeted Friday. "@VanessaLachey has a nice ring to it."
The newlywed -- who describes herself as a "host by day, wifey by night, wanna-be mommy all the time" in her Twitter profile -- recently purchased a home in in Encino, Calif. with her husband.
Located in the heart of San Fernando Valley, the Spanish-style estate is 8,000 square feet and features a whopping eight bathrooms and 18 rooms. It also includes vaulted beam ceilings, fireplaces, several balconies and a pool.

With that much space, it's no wonder why the couple is eager to start a family. Lachey, 38, recently told E! News he's been "doing everything I can" to get his wife pregnant.

"Trust me, it would make me very happy," The Sing-Off host said. "Family is very important. It's very important to us, and I'm sure that will be around the corner."

Ms Minnillo is a fool for taking her husbands surname so quickly most stars that do wait at least a year of marriage and they've only been married 4 months. most stars don't even take their significant others surname because they're already known by their own and don't wanna ruin their image
