Zola the Stripper revealed to Rolling Stone that she embellished parts of her epic viral Twitter story “for entertainment value.” But the 20-year-old, who became an Internet sensation after detailing her Florida stripping trip gone wrong via 148 tweets, doesn’t regret it because she believes her tale warns of the dangers of sex trafficking.

The self-proclaimed “Queen of hoeism” — click here in case you’re not caught up on Zola’s epic tale — admitted that she posted and deleted her story on Twitter twice before it grabbed readers’ attention. After making certain story points “darkly comic,” people started to react and Zola believes that she “made people who probably wouldn’t want to hear a sex trafficking story want to be a part of it because it was entertaining.” (Jarrett’s suicide attempt and when “Z” shoots the pimp are among the embellished points.)

Zola, whose real name is Aziah, did meet that “white bitch at Hooters,” whom fans are now well aware is named Jessica. She also maintains that she did embark on the trip with Jessica to make money stripping, but that Jessica was the only one who participated in prostitution, or as she calls it, “trapping.”

While Jessica tells Rolling Stone that Zola’s “ruining” her life, Zola stands behind her story. “It’s common and it happens,” she told RS. “It could happen to anyone…For whatever reason, people feel like it doesn't happen, not in their world at least," she added. "But it does."

Despite now disliking Zola for exposing her, Jessica does admit to pressuring women into prostitution. "I was helping other girls be put into that situation," she told RS. “And as someone who's been sexually abused, why would I do that? All I can say is that I was literally brainwashed by [pimp] Rudy.” She also still argues that portions of Zola’s story are false, but agrees about its message.

“If even one girl looks at this and says, 'This can happen to me, I need to change,' then it will be worth it all in the end,” Jessica concludes. "It could be my daughter. She could be talked into this in the future, but maybe because I made these mistakes, she won't."

As for “pimp” Rudy, he’s currently behind bars in Nevada.

Akporode "Rudy" Uwedjojevwe, 35, was arrested and charged with sexual assault, sex trafficking, battery, attempted pandering, and felony counts resulting from a fight in jail. His trial is scheduled for Jan. 19.

For the record, Zola also clarified that she’s not from the “hood.” After Ava DuVernay, the director of Selma, tweeted, "There's so much untapped talent in the hood,” Zola responded: “I’m not from the hood tho Ava. Ima suburban bitch. Still love you tho.”
