If You were a CHRISTIAN and a Bible Reader, You Would Know.. The Cricifixion was Based On God's Word, Not A wRITER LOOKING FOR A MOVIE..It was not for intertainment.. it Happened.. Christ died for the sinners, but hey, maybe you think you are above Christ ?? if so, satan has a place for you with him.. In Hell !

She ran the recorder and it was altered, words spoken out of context..and if 10,000.000.00 paid her would have kept them from being paid to the public, is that not illegal ? I Adore Mel Gibson and we all fall short, Don't we ?

Christ gave His life. No one could have taken it from Him. That is why I love Him. Gibson has issues but in this case made a beautiful accurate movie.

This movie was amazing and incorporated very well all four of the Gospels. Very moving and truthful telling of the crucifixion. It is a bit off because Jesus suffered much more then Mel put in there. This movie was about Jesus, not it's director.

    I loved the movie, A MUST-SEE!

I didn't see this movie because I thought it would be depressing and I don't pay to get depressed. However, I think Gibson is a creative genus and most artists tend to be a bit emotional and temperamental. Words can only hurt you if you let them. Words are just verbal utterances of someones biased opinion. Their words can only hurt you in you are in love with them or gave birth to them. All others are not worthy of a second thought.

Jesus came fof the some pupose he dead for.Thats the only way he had to die.Why are the Juws feeling bad.If they feeling that way, then, what do they expect the Romans to do?

Your ALL wrong ! Christ was crucified for the SIN of ALL mankind. The Jewish people did NOT kill Christ . John 3:16 For GOD so love the world ,that HE gave HIS only begotten son . That who so ever believeth in HIM will not parrish ,but have everlastting LIFE . Very important ,if you DON"T know the bible , you speak out of context and show ignorance of knowledge. As there was a lamb killed at Passover the attonement for sin would be the Lamb of GOD ! Christ died for ALL mankind. Study the scripture before you speak !

@MaxMaxfield - Wtf, you don't even know what you're talking about, moron. Mel Gibson wrote, produced, and directed this film and yet it has nothing to do with him? You're the jackass.

why cant the jews addmit their role in the death of Jesus. He came to bring life to them and they only refuse to believe. Your country will never be in peace untill you accept the fact that Jesue is Lord. He is the chosen one one and your people had him hung on a cross. But i tell you this, HE still lives and is seated at the right side of the Father. Thank You,CROSS 2010

Hello, This may seem like a totally different perspective of Mel than everyone has but I see him as a kind of a man who has had enough and is entitled to his opinion and should be able to express it. We do not know the whole story behind his actions maybe he was provoked by his wife and she is making him look like the guilty party to clear herself of anyone suspecting her of being wrong. If something has made him mad he should be at liberty to express himself as long as he does not hurt his self or anyone else. I say let him let it out. If he does have a type of mental illness who knows what he has been through to get him to that stage? Isn't anger a natural human emotion? I am with him, screw them. In most cases people react to how they have been treated. Could his actions be reflection of how people have been treating him? Hello. Sounds to me like he needs to be left alone by these people and readjust to what Melâ??s wants and needs are. Regards, Understanding

I have also posted as ja, so I'll be jelly today. The Jews rejected Jesus as their savior but this was in God's plan. Every Christian ought to be grateful to Jews because without Jesus' being crucified we wouldn't have a savior. He had to give his life so that man could have eternal life. People like Mel and his Jew hating father aren't smart enought to figure that out so just feel sorry for them. Pontius Pilate had the final decision, but that was influenced by the will of the crowd who chose Jesus to be crucified. God's will guided Pontius Pilate and Judas in their actions to make this happen. Mel Gibson uses religion to feel superior to others, which is not the way it's supposed to be used. In the end, he'll get what he deserves.

Hey nitwits. Jesus was a Jewish Rabbi so when he was executed by the Roman authorities I'm sure there were probably a few Jewish people milling about. All you good Christian sheeple are basing what you think on stories written a few THOUSAND years ago. NOBODY knows for sure what happened back then. That's why it's called faith. You have faith that the stories you've been told and choose to believe are true, but they have absolutely no basis in actual fact. Again, that where that word "faith" comes in. But all of that has nothing to do with Mel Gibson. He's a bigot and he's proven that with the words that came out of his mouth, not the movie he made. He hates Jewish people. I don't know how he feels about other races or religions, but the guy hates Jews.

How is it racist to depict history? The Jews beat Jesus and the Romans crucified him.

HELLO! The movie THE PASSION OF CHRIST had NOTHING to do with MEL GIBSON!...Jackasses!

lynne --- It was the Jewish community that had him killed soooo ... whatever

  • July 15, 2010 - 12:00pm lynne

Um, hello, saying that the Jews killed Jesus is pretty damn racist so, if that's what the movie said and if Gibson created the movie, then he did a racist thing. Where did that even come from? Nine years of Catholic school taught me that Pontius Pilot, a Roman, killed Jesus. People are so uneducated it baffles me. How can you believe in something if you don't know what it is that you are believing?

  • July 15, 2010 - 10:11am Sara

I didn't find this movie racist at all. Some people are too sensitive or want to make a big deal about race when there isn't one.

In February 2004, Jewish groups protested their portrayal as bloodthirsty murderers of Jesus in Gibson's The Passion of the Christ.
