Out on the town!
George Clooney and his wife of nearly five months, Amal Alamuddin, celebrated their first Valentine's Day as a married couple over the weekend. The handsome duo opted for a low-key celebration on Sunday, Feb. 15, at a sushi restaurant in Los Angeles.
The British barrister, 37, wore a tan suede cape jacket that featured a fringe embellishment on the bottom. She paired the bold statement piece with black skinny jeans, a blue snakeskin clutch, and tan snakeskin booties. The Monuments Men actor, 53, took a break from the sharp tuxedos and donned a black short-sleeve shirt with loose-fitting denim and gray work boots for the occasion.
The Clooneys' toned-down ensembles were miles away from the decadent outfits they wore on the red carpet at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards in January. Mrs. Clooney was a knockout in a black Dior gown with white gloves, and sat in the audience as her husband accepted the Cecil B. DeMille Award during the telecast.
"It's a humbling thing when you find someone to love, even better if you've been waiting your whole life. And when your whole life is 53 years —Tina [Fey] and Amy [Poehler] start the jokes — Amal, whatever alchemy that brought us together, I couldn't be more proud to be your husband," Clooney said in his acceptance speech.
