Ashley Judd Makes Makeup Blunder While Promoting Shocking Memoir

Ashley Judd has been making news this week for her shocking memoir All That is Bitter and Sweet, but it was an embarrassing beauty blunder that had people buzzing at a NYC book signing on Tuesday.

The 42-year-old actress looked okay from the neck (actually, make that cheeks) down, in an off-the-shoulder floral-print dress, but her under-eye area was caked with a layer of powder.
Makeup fail aside, Judd recently revealed some pretty serious secrets about her famous country-music family including drug and sexual abuse.

Following her parents' divorce when she was a toddler, the Double Jeopardy star watched as her mom welcomed a new guy into their home, an "abusive full-blown heroin addict with a criminal record."

25Ashley is doing a fantastic job of speaking up for woman and children. It is all about supply and demand. The Full link for the supply side of the girls for the Long Beach auto-race is readily available at the pub-club. I am wondering if the girls are 21â?¦some of them really donâ??t look like it. The young boy-racers also are being exploited. IMO. As you can see the 2011 Long Beach Grand Prix and the auto-sport Spring break Beach Party is in full form and some of these beautiful girls will be just another statistic of exploitation and perhaps for trafiking. You need to watch Liam Neelsons "Taken" again... Very Sad Indeed.
This is actually caused by a reflection in the SPF of her concealer. The chemical sunscreens reflect light, and when flash photography is taken, the makeup looks powdery and ashen. Ms. Judd's makeup artist should have known better!

@Stacy, no amount of money or fame makes up for what her mother and that nasty old man did to her. She is putting on her big girl pants and speaking out so she can heal her heart.
She's still gorgeous even with the white powder. Besides her probably now unemployed makeup artist made the mistake, not her.

After the book was published, Winona's real father came forward, he wanted to point out just a few of the lies the fake redheaded mom had put in print. The OWN network is just as phony as the Phony mom. Birds of a feather flock together, hmmmm
I'll never understand why people who read celeb news and go to the celeb sites and are up on the daily celeb gossip make snide remarks about this "hardly being front page news" or "who cares" or "find something else to report other than gossip". These folks are free to read whatever they want and if they are not interested in celeb news then its really quite simple, go read CNN not sites that are about celebrities.
Stacy, not an exactly informed or kind comment to make about a child left behind and passed from relative to relative. And whatever financial or otherwise success she has made she has achieved on her own as an actress, not because of her last name. As for the makeup, who cares?
Make-up blunder or not, she is still a beautiful person.

Who cares? Aren't there more important issues that a 'makeup fail' that probably wasn't even her doing? People like her don't apply their own makeup for important events, they have make up artists for that. I couldn't care less that her make up was screwy though...find something worth while to report on other than gossip, US....
I think that it's great that she is telling this story.It's inspirational to others who have dealt or still dealing with this issue in silence.Im glad she is speaking out.I always knew she sperated herself from her mom and sister.I had no idea that their household was filled with such problems.To see he women she has become definetly can and im sure will set a good example for others.I don't think she is whinning i think she is tired of living with these secrets that plague so many.I tip my hat off to you Ashley.oh and as far as da whole makeup thing i guess stuff happens and shes inperfect just like the rest of us.
