The “Sorry” singer, 34, turned to Senegalese designer Selly Raby Kane for her separates. She chose the $360 Schrimp kimono with quarter-length sleeves and a faux-leather finish, wearing it unbelted and over a black tank. The $270 Fatima pencil skirt, with vertical rainbow stripes, added another dose of color to her look. Beyoncé finished the ensemble with suede Azzedine Alaïa fringe sandals and a printed Burberry tote. To shield her eyes from the sun, she chose a round pair of sunglasses by Perverse, which retail for $65.

“This next song is about love,” she said. “And I’d like to dedicate it to all the family members of those who lost their lives in Florida.”

One week earlier, the mom to Blue Ivy accepted the Fashion Icon Award at the CFDA Awards on June 6 in yet another head-turning look: a glittering black-and-gold pin-striped Givenchy tuxedo with a wide-brimmed black hat, just like the one in her “Formation” video. In her speech, she described fashion as “a tool for finding your own identity, expression and strength. It transcends style and it’s a time capsule of all of our greatest milestones.”
