Sofia Vergara personifies the word bombshell! Her makeup at the premiere of this summer's highly anticipated Smurfs movie did not disappoint. My favorite part of the look: super-sized lashes that almost seemed cartoonishly sexy in and of themselves. The star's makeup pro, Kayleen McAdams, tells Us Weekly how she created the look.
"Sofia had the most beautiful purple dress, so I wanted to do a shimmery bronze eye so the makeup would be subtle and the dress would take full focus. Because of the extreme heat, we layered bronzer over cheeks and eyes to give the whole look staying power," McAdams says.
On her face, McAdams used a sheer finish foundation, concealer and pressed powder to set. To highlight her cheeks, she used a rosy cheek blush on apples and bronzing powder on top. For the shimmery eye, she layered coffee and bronze tone shadows, then applied copper to outer corners. Black eyeliner and mascara made eyes pop. To finish, McAdams used soft pink lipstick layered over nude lip liner.
