I am a huge olive green military jacket collector. I look at the same style over and over again as if I've never seen it before. I love the pockets, the different shades of green and -- most importantly -- the style. It's timeless and works with everything!
This season, it will all be about this military trend, whether it's mixed with flouncy tops or dresses, florals or black. You can wear it dress up -- with faux fur or brooches -- or easy over sweats or jeans. And the great news is that this look was huge at the Fall Fashion 2010 shows, so you will be wearing this for a while. (It was also a huge hit on the runways for spring to be worn now with layers or later as a coat dress.)
The other good news is everyone from H&M to Balmain have versions of this look. So you can go super low to mega high.
Gap has a great version. At $79.50, the military jacket makes a great style very reminincent of the classic Kate Moss parka jacket that has quickly become iconic. In fact, the model -- Kate Beckinsale, Gwyneth Paltrow and Taylor Momsen have also been rocking the trend -- was just spotted a few weeks ago in an updated look on what she made a classic.
