A week into spring, Jessica Alba has already perfected her not-winter-not-yet-warm-weather style. In New York City on March 29, the Honest co-founder looked fresh in a neutral palette with one unexpected splash of color.

In town to give a sneak peek of her new denim line with DL1961, Alba paired the black cropped pair from her collection with the bassike Dot Silk Shirt ($380, bassike.com) and white lace-up oxford heels. But instead of sticking to her black-and-white palette, Alba, 34, threw on a double-breasted, knee-length Brock Collection blush coat ($2,990, modaoperandi.com) for a pastel accent.

The mom of two, who is the face of DL1961’s spring line, will debut her 10 pieces in the fall.

“My inspiration for most things in life is always the ’90s supermodels: Cindy, Naomi, Claudia. Those bodies!” she told Vogue. “The jeans that I’m designing are going to celebrate women’s bodies and show off those curves.”
