Kendall Jenner wants to prove to the world that she takes her role in fashion very seriously, and the Keeping Up With the Kardashian star’s latest gig just might do the trick. The budding model, 19, stars alongside industry vets like Anja Rubik, Karlie Kloss, Adriana Lima, and Jessica Stam in the Marc Jacobs Spring 2015 Women’s collection ad campaign, the brand announced on Thursday, Jan. 8.
The photos were shot in October 2014 in New York City by photographer David Sims, and the imagery for the military-inspired line came together with the help of Love magazine editor Katie Grand. For the campaign, the glamorous reality star tucked her long locks under a shaggy black wig and rocked a strong brow with minimal makeup. Kim Kardashian‘s half-sister models an army-green belted jacket, matching culottes, and heavy sandals.
Jenner’s relationship with the brand began back in February 2014, when she hit the catwalk in a see-through top — sans bra — and bleached eyebrows. She returned to the runway for the brand in September 2014 in a gold dress with the same wavy wig used in the current campaign.
From the beginning, the Estee Lauder spokesmodel yearned to be taken seriously. “I’m not trying to use a family name or anything,” Jenner told Nightline in November 2014. “In reality I worked pretty hard for this; it wasn’t like I just got it magically, and it just happened.”
