After a series of fashion missteps and awkward poses, Lena Dunham has finally slayed the red carpet!
On Tuesday, Nov. 11, the Girls star and creator stepped out to the Pen Center USA 24th Annual Literary Awards Festival in Beverly Hills, looking perfectly at ease and chic with mod makeup and a fresh blonde dye job.
Dunham, 28, ditched her most recent hair color (a bold shade of mint green) in favor of a sharp blonde hue. Seeming to embrace a mod look for the evening, the Not That Kind of Girl author slicked her bright tresses into a sleek low ponytail, and coupled the ‘do with heavily lined cat-eye makeup.
Continuing the retro theme, Dunham also donned a fitted floral dress with an A-line flare to the festival, where she was spotted comfortably posing for pictures with Girls’ co-producer, Judd Apatow. (Success!) She also added Pearl Collective earrings and pumps by Kate Middleton‘s preferred heel brand, L.K. Bennett.
Earlier that day, Dunham posted a funny picture of herself with a cutout of Lisa Kudrow‘s Comeback character via Instagram. “Are you watching the comeback of The Comeback? Cuz I have been waiting for a literal decade and now the time is here. #ValerieSelfie,” the Tiny Furniture actress quipped.
