Melissa McCarthy is not messing around when it comes to her weight loss. The Mike & Molly star, 44, took home the award for Favorite Comedic Movie Actress at the 2015 People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday, Jan. 7, in Los Angeles, and the funny lady deserved yet another distinguished honor: Amazing Body Transformation.
McCarthy looked more confident than ever in a black pantsuit with a body-slimming effect on the red carpet at the Nokia Theatre. The star’s edgy ensemble featured bold leather panels that ran along the seams; she carried a sleek clutch and Forevermark jewelry.
In the June 2014 issue of Rolling Stone, the mother of two spoke openly about loving herself at any size. “I could eat healthier, I could drink less,” she told the mag.
“I should be learning another language and working out more, but I’m just always saying, ‘Ah, I could get hit by a bus tomorrow.’” Evidence from her look at 2014 People’s Choice Awards, in comparison this award show, proves she may have changed her tune.
