But the couple didn't stand at the altar: They sat in the pew with William's father, Prince Charles, and watched a full orchestra and a 14-boy choir rehearse potential musical selections for the big day.
On the trio's agenda for the private concert: To start finalizing song choices and map out the musical sequence for their nuptials.
A royal source explained to Britain's Express newspaper that the royal bride and groom have been tasked with cutting songs from the service. "That was part of the process...the orchestra also had a few pieces that they had wanted the bride and groom to hear."
Why did Prince Charles come along? "He has always taken a close interest in classical and church music," the source told Express. "They have sought his advice and involved him in the decisions."

now that's what you call a royal couple!
Kate has great hair and style in my opinion. I'm excited for their wedding, and even though Princess Diana was a legend in her own right, I hope Kate will not be compared to her and she can make her own history in English royalty.
