Well, you don’t see this look on the red carpet often! Susan Sarandon‘s son Miles Robbins wore an incredibly quirky outfit to the Zoolander 2 NYC premiere on Tuesday, February 9. Hint: Stuffed animals were involved.
The musician and DJ, 23, used the event as an opportunity to showcase his unique sense of style, rocking a powder-blue blazer with rainbow-colored My Little Pony appliqués. He paired his colorful outer layer with a white shirtdress and silver tights, finishing the ensemble with gray loafers.
Sarandon, 69, looked decidedly more tame in a floral jacket with a skull detail lapel. She rounded out the getup with a pair of lace-up boots as she posed arm in arm with her son.
Robbins has always been an out-of-the-box dresser, and even wrote an article for the Huffington Post in June 2015 about his outfit choices, titled “Is It Really That Strange For a Guy to Wear a Dress?”
In the piece, he declares that he’s definitely not the first man to rock a longer garment. “So, so, so many people, especially musicians, have done this before me,” he wrote. “I wear dresses on stage and to occasional fancy dress events because I do not enjoy neckties. I wear dresses to embrace femininity (adjective) but not to re-assign my gender to female (noun).”
What do you think of Miles’ pony-infused red carpet style?
