From one Bachelorette to another! Ali Fedotowsky has plenty of wisdom to share with JoJo Fletcher. The pregnant mom-to-be posted about Ben Higgins‘ runner-up following the season 20 finale of The Bachelor on Monday, March 14.
Fedotowsky, 31, knows all too well what it’s like to have 25 men vying for her attention — and being dumped on television. She appeared in Jake Pavelka’s season 14 of the Bachelor before giving her final rose to Roberto Martinez in season 6 of The Bachelorette in 2010. The couple split the following year. She moved on with radio host Kevin Manno, and the lovebirds are currently engaged and expecting their first child.
“Be open to finding love, but be prepared to not find it. Wear water proof mascara (lots of tears coming your way, girl). Try to forget about the guys you like the first night, and even first week, so you can really focus on the ones you don’t know how you feel about yet,” Fedotowsky wrote to Fletcher on her personal blog.
“And finally, live in the moment and enjoy every second! I truly wish I let myself enjoy the experience more and didn’t take it so seriously,” she continued. “So have fun, kiss a lot and follow your heart. So happy for you, Jojo! Enjoy every minute during your time as the Bachelorette!”
Fedotowsky has been a fan of Fletcher since day one. Although Caila Quinn was initially chosen to be the next Bachelorette, the TV personality is overjoyed that the gig ultimately went to the real estate developer.
“I was so happy to see that ABC chose Jojo as their new Bachelorette. Mostly because I just think she’s awesome – I’ve been saying that all season. But also because it BROKE my heart to see her devastated after Ben let her go. At that moment I thought – ‘this girl HAS to be the new Bachelorette! The poor thing!'” Fedotowsky added on her blog. “Plus, didn’t you guys love how she would ask Ben direct questions on their last date? I feel like she speaks up when she feels like she should, and for that reason she’ll make for a very exciting Bachelorette!”
Fedotowsky, like many other Bachelor Nation fans, has been following Higgins’ journey to find love since January. And though she was personally rooting for Fletcher, she figured that Higgins and Lauren Bushnell would end up together.
“Every moment Ben had with Lauren during the finale was so sweet and lovely. It’s been clear that they are meant for each other since the beginning!” she wrote. “Their proposal was so romantic and sweet. It totally had me in tears! They seem very much in love and I am very excited to see what is in store for the both of them.”
