Exclusive: Brad Womack's Ex: He Proposed to Me Before The Bachelor

Brad Womack may get down on one knee on the season finale of The Bachelor -- but it won't be the first time.

Laurel Kagay, who dated the Austin resident on and off for eight years, reveals exclusively in the new issue of Us Weekly (on stands now) that Womack, 38, asked her to marry him countless times over the course of their relationship. The most recent proposal? Last summer, just weeks before he left to film The Bachelor for the second time.

"Even when we weren't together, he would say how much he loved me and was going to marry me," she tells Us.
After spending the summer trying to woo her back -- including a speech to Kagay, 31, and her mother saying he would "marry her right now" -- he left to film the ABC reality hit, but continued to send Kagay emails.
Now that Womack is telling the world he's found love this time around, Kagay wants to offer a warning to his new gal.
"I'm sure the girl he picked would want to know that he was proposing to another woman right before he started taping the show," Kagay tells Us. "I would want to know."

This woman is DOG ugly. And really, WHO cares? If he asked her to marry him and she said no, then it's perfectly OK that he leaves to film The Bachelor! I'm with the majority, she's just looking for a few mintues of fame and the cover of a magazine....
Brad is a dog regardless. Emily is too good for him and this ex girlfriend needs to stay out of it.

This is the same chick that dated Wes Hayden, from Jillian's season of the Bachelorette. I recall she specifically said she and Wes were NOT still together back when the bachelor producers tried to throw Wes under the bus and make him look like a player. She defended Wes... if this were not true, and she's just looking for a bit of fame, then why wouldn't she have tried to screw over Wes two years ago? Something is amiss here.
Who's really surprised? Most of the show is staged anyway.

i wouldnt say that brad is my favorite bachelor (a little bit socially awkward and shows absolutely 0 emotion....) but give the guy a break. if he was turned down that many times, something just isnt clicking in his head and he may actually have all the issues he has claimed. i think this ex gf is just trying to get her 15 mins like everyone else is saying. she probably sold her story because he STOPPED texting or emailing her at some point and realized she lost him...anywho, brad deserves to be happy and can do whatever he wants.

This is just another stunt from an exgirlfriend who wants her 50cent in the bachelor situation. Plus she is only in it for the money from the magazine. Every bachelor/bachelorette season, someone ex always comes out to give a drama within it.
