Chantal O'Brien: The Moment I Knew Bachelor Brad Would Pick Emily

For eliminated bachelorette Chantal O'Brien, timing really was everything.
During Tuesday's LIVE! With Regis and Kelly, Brad Womack's runner-up revealed the precise moment she knew he'd propose to her competitor, single mom Emily Maynard.

"I felt pretty confident, but when I was in the limo [driving up to the proposal site], I thought 'it's too early for a proposal -- they usually do this at sunset,'" O'Brien, 28, told Philbin and Ripa of the moments before Womack got on bended knee in Cape Town, South Africa.
After being dumped by the Austin-based bar owner, O'Brien -- who slapped Womack on the show's premiere on behalf of "every woman in America" -- knew she had to keep calm.

"I've already gotten in trouble for all the violence so it's good I didn't [go there]," she joked to Ripa when the cohost asked if she felt like kneeing Womack in the crotch.
Already in a new relationship, O'Brien is cautiously optimistic about the staying power of Womack and Maynard's bond.

"I think it's really hard to be in that position," she says. "I hope it works out, but I don't know. They obviously have something."

21Emily is too good for Brad!
Brad seems about as exciting as a peanut butter sandwich. i hope the next show is more exciting.
I myself dont believe that Emily truely loves Brad. When u are in love with someone...you will do what it takes to be with them. She has wayyy too many excuses to not fully committ. That relationship is doomed.
HE PICKED THE WOMAN HE WAS IN LOVE WITH SO IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT ANYONE THINKS...ENOUGH OF THE STUPID REMARKS.
Chantal's new man must have been thrilled when she cried yet again on ATFR. I feel sorry for Brad. I hope Emily can get past her fears and make it work with Brad.

Brad made the wrong choice. For him he says that he made the right one but I think he is just saying that as he knows with the second chance he had that he feels he has to make it work. However seeing him say how happy he is and then watching the ATFR last night you can tell that they will not last. However he would have chosen Chantal then they would have lasted. Emily's true colors came out and just as I knew that she was a controlling, immature witch she showed that last night
I could tell when she got out of the limo that she knew it wasn't her. She had a sad look on her face. I personally think Brad made the right choice.
What a train wreck....fighting and breaking up already. WRONG CHOICE buddy... she keeps saying that she needs to be sure bec. she is a mom and she has so many insecurities that she blames on being a mom. If she wasnt ready to for love she should have never gone on that show. Chantal was smoking hot and seemed to really put herself out there. The Emily chick... she did a 360 and is nothing like who she was on the show.. do these people get paid for being on the show?? If so maybe that's why she went there... too bad.. for Brad.. Not surprised Chantal found a guy so quickly she seemed really sincere in who she was and what she wanted. Looks like another vienna and jake in the making.
Chantal was the right choice, beautiful woman. Brad had so much fun with her and could be himself as he said so many times. Brad was nervous around Emily and she has suck impossible standards for any man to match with her past love. Add on a child and Brad with his own issues is fighting an uphill battle he probably won't succeed at.
To me Brad Picked the right woman! It is easy to Brad to deal with it but it is very difficult for Emliy because she is not one but two. So she has to make sure that he will be ok with the little girl.Emliy can get rid of her daughter because she is responsible.It is good for Brad too.I think that is why she tries to know him very well and I think he understands her. That is the woman he should be.About chantel, I do not think she can be with him the rest of his life. It was clear that she was in love with him but I do not think she can takecare of him for the rest of his life and I do not know how she got another man in a days or months.She is in love with another man. That meant to me if Brad maried her, they would quickly because she can fall in love with another person so fast but I like her even I like Emily mory!
I agree, Emily seemed very different on After the Final Rose. She wasn't as "sweet" as she was on the show. I think Brad should have picked Chantel and I think he will soon realize she was the one for him. I did like Emily on the show, but I thought Chantel was a better match for him.
I am glad that Emily didnt do what all the other ones have done. Pick up and move in with him.
Emily didn't really seem sincere during the proposal...not as happy as I thought she would be. And Emily was also a VERY different person on the "After the Rose" special than how she was portrayed on the show...not as sweet as we all thought. The whole situation was so tense...

IM sorry but I dont see how a network throws a bunch of goodlooking self centered people in a tv show to find true love. Makes no sense to me. God id the one who leads you to your true love, not some over rated tv show just making millions off people who usually receives a broken heart in some way or another. To eachs own. Im glad I didnt need a tv show to find my true love, nor be a barbie doll at that as well. You dont get watched on my tv.
Exactly Penny! Now emily is backing up and still putting it all on her child. If she really loved him she would have moved. She didn't even look excited at the finale.
