Tricky conversations! Chris Hemsworth sat down with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres for a conversation that will air later today, Monday, April 18, on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and he revealed he and daughter, India, nearly 4, have been having a few awkward conversations lately.
Inquiring about his kids, DeGeneres asked Hemsworth, 32, how parenthood was going, and if his little girl got along well with her 2-year-old twin brothers.
“They get along. Absolutely,” Hemsworth replied. “At times, siblings kind of have their moments. My daughter is kind of envious of my boys, at the moment,” he went on.
“She came to me the other day and she was like ‘You know, Papa, I want one of those things that Sasha and Tristan have,'” he said.
“I’m like, ‘What do you mean?'” he continued. “She was like, ‘You know, the things in between the legs that you have.’ I was like ‘Oh, um. Well, you see, girls …’ and then my brain’s like, How do we handle this?” he added, laughing, before recalling how he tried to explain to little India that girls have breasts, and boys have a penis.
“She was like, ‘I really want one … I want a penis!'” he continued. “I was like, she’s 4, you know what, you can be whatever you want to be. And she goes, ‘Thanks, Dad!’ Runs off to the playground and that was it. I’ll have to pick that conversation up in a few years’ time,” he added.
