Ellen DeGeneres Scares Kristen Wiig Literally Out of Her Seat: Watch

Where's a proton pack when you need one? Kristen Wiig nearly jumped out of her skin on Thursday, May 7, when Ellen DeGeneres pulled one of her famous sneak attacks on the Bridesmaids actress.

The two were chatting about the upcoming all-female Ghostbusters reboot — starring Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Cecily Strong, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones — when DeGeneres asked if the Saturday Night Live alum believes in ghosts.

"Yeah, sure. Yeah. No, I do," she said, a little unconvincingly.

"It doesn't sound like you do," DeGeneres replied.

"No, but I mean, there's different kinds," Wiig said.

At that, a man dressed in a white sheet popped out of the fake table next to the actress' chair, causing her to scream and crawl onto the floor in shock. "Oh my God!" she said, clutching her chest. "That was terrifying!"

DeGeneres has been known to pull similar pranks in the past. Just last month, she recruited Chris Evans to scare his Avengers: Age of Ultron costar Scarlett Johansson.
