Emma Watson's opinion of California isn't very sunny.

In the August issue of Harper's Bazaar UK, the 21-year-old actress admits she could never see herself relocating to the Golden State.

"L.A. scares the crap out of me. I feel if I have to work out four hours a day, and count the calories of everything I put in my mouth, and have Botox at 22, and obsess about how I look the whole time, I will go mad," Watson says. "I will absolutely lose it."

Still, the native Brit admits that she was excited about moving to the U.S. in 2009 to begin her freshman year at Brown University. "I felt suddenly very claustrophobic," she recalls. "I thought, 'I can't stay [in England]. I won't be able to concentrate. I won't be left alone.'"

The Harry Potter actress also explains how she's managed to keep her good girl reputation, despite being one of the highest-paid actresses in the world.

"I couldn't imagine giving my family any more trouble -- it's already been complicated enough. My dad is one of the top international-communications lawyers in the country, and trying to argue with him was a nightmare, so I learnt quite quickly to be good with words," Watson says. "My mom is an incredible woman. She moved back from Paris with my brother and me after the divorce, and worked full-time, supporting both of us. But I felt I wanted to take care of her -- I didn't want to give her a hard time."

Unfortunately, rarely misbehaving has sometimes made it difficult for the actress to take on bad girl roles. "My acting tutor said the hardest thing for me was to get angry. I almost broke down in tears when they tried to get me to be angry. I said, 'I can't do it. I just can't do it,'" she says. "I keep all of that really bottled up somewhere and I feel unleashing it would be the scariest thing -– and to let myself be powerful, sexy, all those things, it's scary for me."

i get what she says, however she is only 21..wait until shes 26 and older...she will feel the need to get botox and staying young looking will become an importance to her, easy to say what shes saying when your only 21.

Love her. @Courtney, why is she full of herself for not wanting to act like someone she isn't. Emma has always said that she doesn't want to be a "huge" star as you put it. I wouldn't want to live in LA either.

she's full of herself you don't have to stay in LA to be a huge star why doesn't she look at someone like Vanessa Redgrave who splits her time between London LA & New York and still has a huge career in her mid 70's.
