Exclusive: Glee's Matthew Morrison Bashes Britney!

Britney may need a Plan B!
After a whopping 13.5 million viewers tuned in to Glee's Madonna-themed episode on April 20, Britney Spears' manager, Adam Leber, began a campaign for a special installment featuring tunes by the singer, 28, Twittering, "Do you guys want to see a Britney Spears episode of Glee?"

Apparently, not everybody does -- including the Fox series' star! Asked about the possibility on the red carpet at the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner in Washington, D.C., on May 1, Matthew Morrison, 31, told Us Weekly, "That's a rumor her manager started. I hope our show doesn't go along that route." Ouch!

78Her voice sounds so robotic Diana??? Are you stupid??? She doesn't use those kind of effects in all of her songs, actually, in many of them, there's barely some kind of "auto-tune". Britney deserved her Glee episode. So sorry for Matthew and for people like him.
For people who think things like obvious: How do you know she actually doesn't sing her songs??? And, also, how do u know she has no talent??? Have u seen her singing when she was a little girl??? Also, she's completely recovered!!! Get over it!!!
1. Matthew Morrison did not "bash britney" he was just right in saying that the producers seem to have forgotten the original concept and the show could become gimmicky. 2. Matthew Morrison was not nothing before Glee. he's been on broadway for ages and for those of you who don't know, he was the original link larkin in hairspray on broadway. 3. I don't see why the producers want to do Britney anyway. She has no talent, she doesn't actually sing her songs, and she is a terrible role model to everyone.

Stupid comments like this are the reason why I will not watch this show. I'd love to see a Britney episode, that would probably be the only episode I'd watch. This producer is crazy!

Well, I completely understand where Matt's coming from, in regards to making to many, celebrity oriented episodes. If Glee continues to do it, they will lose it's original concept. Besides, Britney has been off her game for years. Even her Circus theme tour comeback, wasn't that big of a deal. Despite the fact, the Circus tour made $106M. I'm not even sure, if they should do a Lady GaGa episode. She's only been on the main music scene for 2 1/2 years. Compared to Britney's 13 years and her extraordinary accomplishments, she's barely a blimp on the radar. It's inappropriate to call Lady Gaga the new pop princess.
@Connie You probably don't get the "hoopla" surrounding Justin Nieber because you are not a teenager. Which singer's did you crush on as a teen? In my opinion...in this day in age Justin is like the next Aaron Carter or Lil Bow Wow. If you are not a teenager or have never onced been a big fan or crushed on a singer or actor/actress then of course you or Matt wouldn't understand.
I wish the media would lay off Matt. He merely stated his opinion, and didn’t bash Brittany at all. What he said about her manager starting it was true..it was his way of getting his client on the show. Just because her manager started it, now everyone believes an all-Brittany episode is definitely going to happen. As for Justin Bieber, Matt didn’t bash him either…just stated that he didn’t get the hoopla surrounding him, and frankly, I happen to agree with him. This is just other example of the media twisting around a celebrity’s words just to grab headlines. You all are trying to make Matt Morrison look like an ungrateful, rude person, when he is most definitely not.
You guys, don't be rude! Matthew never said anything about Britney, he definitely didn't bash her. He just meant to say he doesn't think the show has to go that way, but I'm sure he didn't mean they could never perform one of her songs. He is an AMAZING artist and speaks up. Respect that. Glee is awesome, and has this great songs being covered, let's not want the show to become advertising for anyone.

He didn't 'bash' her. He just said he didn't want the show to go that route... gimmicky and celeb promoting. Glee is great because of all the different artists. I wouldn't want to sit through an entire episode featuring her. Guest star, why not? One or two of her songs by the Glee Cast? Sounds fine. But an entire Britney show? Nah. Her music isn't really what I would call inspiring.
He looks like every other regular joe on the street. There is nothing attractive about him. What makes him so special?

Well, you can say a lot about Britney Spears. However, you can't say she is a "barely was." This guy ought to keep his yap closed. Just say something like, "I am an actor. What ever the writters write I will say. We will have to see."
