"Read the HIMYM series finale script on the treadmill at the gym this morning," the actor, who plays series standout Ted Mosby, tweeted. "People probably thought that was sweat in my eyes. Suckers." A show insider told Us Weekly that the cast planned to have the final table read that afternoon. "I expect a few tears," the source said.

And Radnor wasn't the only one to shed some tears. At the final table read for the show's finale, the source told Us, "Everyone was tearing up. It's a great last episode, people are feeling really good about it. Cobie [Smulders] was next to Neil [Patrick Harris], Alyson [Hannigan] was next to Jason [Segel], everybody was sharing sad smiles. Everybody has lived with these character for so long."

During the show's Television Critics Association press tour last month, showrunner Craig Thomas discussed how the series would possibly end. "We want to keep the end really clean, really clean and respectful," he shared with reporters.

"This show is ending, and whatever that -- whatever 'How I Met Your Dad' would ever be, if it goes, it has to prove itself on its own, and the show deserves the best possible ending that it could get, and the fans who stuck with us deserve that, and that's what we intend to give that."

The one-hour series finale will air March 31.
