Katy Perry and fiance Russell Brand are making light of Thursday's news that her upcoming skit on Sesame Street has been scrapped because of her cleavage-baring top.
"Wow, looks like my play date with Elmo has been cut short!" Perry, 25, Tweeted, referring fans to check out the clip on her website.

Brand, 35, made a crack as well, writing: "Today's Sesame Street will NOT be brought to you by the number 34 or the letter D."

He was jokingly referring to parents' complaints that Perry's top was too revealing for kids to see.

Ok obviously people are not seeing the underlying issue here. Why didnt the crew just put her in something a little more decent? Its not that her dress is so terribly bad (even though there is a lot of cleavage) its just that they didnt need to do it. There is no need for it. You can tell that dress was made for someone with an A cup so why try to fit her huge D's into it?

This is nonsense. Katy wasn't wearing anything too terribly revealing. Who are we kidding here? When we complain about stuff like this, what we're saying is that we as adults can't handle our own reality. When do we stop carrying "child protection' overboard, and realize that oversheltering our kids only results in young adults with horrible misconceptions of reality? Teach our kids the truth, and they can make INFORMED decisions!!

People need to relax! Katy did a great job. My seven year old son did not care about her cleavage. My nine year old daughter and her four year old sister were quite impressed with the music and thought that Katy looked very pretty. I was not offended and we were all entertained. if parents over projected things on all childrens television almost all shows would be done. ie. Dora, who in their right mind would let such a small child run all over exploring, Diego, teaching kids that all predator animals are safe. Rugrats, why doesnt the parents know that there is a screwdriver in his diaper, Max and Ruby where are their parents period, barney where are the adults or teachers at the school playground to see that they are playing with a oversize stupid dinosaur? my three year old likes this video on youtube. he laughs everytime he see elmo. not once did he say, "hey, mom, look it's boob on the screen." Just give me a break! stop projecting adult thoughts onto children's tv.
