In the June 16 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, first-time mom-to-be Kim Kardashian suffers from severe stomach pains. Worried about her unborn child, the pregnant reality star decides to visit her doctor. Unfortunately, she receives some startling news.

"This could be appendicitis, but we really don't want to operate on a pregnant woman because it has potential complications for the pregnancy," the doctor tells Kardashian, 32. "If we really feel strongly that this could be appendicitis, then sometimes we have to operate."

The doctor then instructs a five-months-pregnant Kardashian to lie on her back so he can assess the situation. "Show me where you think the pain is the worst," he says while feeling her stomach. Kardashian winces when he presses too hard. "That hurts so much!" she tells him.

In a confessional interview, Kardashian admits, "Getting appendicitis while pregnant is not fun. It's not easy. It's gonna be really tough to go through."

Due July 11, Kardashian has been taking it easy in her final trimester. As her sister Khloe Kardashian-Odom blogged earlier this spring, "A lot of you have expressed concern. . . about Kim. I just wanted to let you know that mommy and baby are doing fine and just taking it easy right now. Thank you so much to all of our wonderful fans and loved ones for your concern and support. We love you!"

Keeping Up With the Kardashians airs Sunday, June 16, at 9 p.m. EST on E!
