Kristen Stewart Will Not Star in Snow White and the Huntsman Prequel, Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth Reprise Roles
See ya later, Stewart! Kristen Stewart will not reprise her role in the Snow White and the Huntsman prequel, The Huntsman. The actress' name was noticeably absent from the Universal Pictures press release about the movie on Thursday, July 31.
Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth will reprise their roles, however; the film will center on how their characters Ravenna and the Huntsman Eric first met before Snow White came into the picture. It will be directed by three-time Oscar nominee Frank Darabont, who is best known for his work in The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile.
Stewart, 24, played Snow White in the original 2012 fantasy action film. One month after its June release, Us Weekly published exclusive photos of the star cheating on then-boyfriend Robert Pattinson with the movie's director, Rupert Sanders, who finalized his divorce from British model Liberty Ross earlier this week.
Pattinson recently laughed off the scandal during an interview for the September 2014 of Esquire UK.
"S--- happens, you know? It's just young people… it’s normal! And honestly, who gives a s---?" he told the mag. "The hardest part was talking about it afterwards."
The Huntsman is set to hit theaters on April 22, 2016.
