A scary look back. Lamar Odom speaks candidly with Scott Disick about his hospitalization in an upcoming episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which airs on Sunday, June 5.

The former NBA star, 36, and Disick, 33, appear to be having the heart-to-heart while the Kardashian-Jenner clan are mingling in another room.

"I was superscared when I came and saw you in the hospital. Do you remember everything?" Disick asks Odom in a sneak peek. "I couldn't handle it. I left. I was like, 'I can't see this man like this.' I just felt like you were just dying to talk, but you couldn't, and you didn't know what to do." (Disick, who split from Kourtney Kardashian last summer, has also struggled with sobriety over the years.)

"Yeah. I can remember being scared half to death.…I was trapped in my body. I couldn't even say 'Excuse me' or 'Thank you,'" Odom replies. "Now I'm taking it day by day."

Odom has been making huge improvements since overdosing in October 2015. As previously reported, the athlete was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel and was in a coma for nearly 72 hours. He now lives close to estranged wife Khloé Kardashian (who just filed for divorce for the second time on May 26) in Calabasas, California, while he continues to recover.

"When I first heard about what happened to Lamar, I mean, it was heartbreaking. And it didn't seem like he was gonna be able to turn his life around and come back," Disick says during a confessional on Sunday's episode. "And now that he is, it's a miracle. He has another chance at life. So it's pretty unbelievable and pretty unreal that everybody stuck beside him and was there for him."

Odom is well aware of how lucky he is. So much so that he claims in the clip that he got rid of his friends who are a bad influence. (Us Weekly exclusively revealed in April that Kardashian, 31, was worried about Odom when a photo surfaced of him allegedly buying drinks at Johnny O'Brien pub in L.A.’s Sherman Oaks neighborhood.)

"I can't really take the risk," he tells Disick. "I can't do that to that girl again."
