Fiery Friday? Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer is not happy with MTV and alleges that the network edited her story to increase viewership of the popular docuseries.

It all started when a fan tweeted at the 23-year-old reality personality on Friday, March 25, saying they wouldn’t choose to appear on the show for all the money in the world after seeing how viewers bash the single mom of three.

The season 7 premiere, which aired Monday, March 21, showed Messer rushing twin daughters Aleeah and Aliannah with ex-husband Corey Simms out the door and refusing to make breakfast before taking them to school. Another scene showed her giving her youngest daughter, Adalynn — with second ex-husband, Jeremy Calvert — two packets of sugar to munch on while at a restaurant.

“It’s so sad how the person behind the editing can even live a happy life by editing to manipulate the audience watching. It makes me feel like my life story isn’t enough,” she tweeted in response to her fan.

“I DID hit rock bottom but I come out of it and I was willing to air it ALL because if just ONE person watched and reached out for HELP even when they feel so ALONE that’s all I cared about because I could NEVER imagine ANYONE feeling the pain, hurt, depression AND anxiety that I WAS suffering from. It would break my heart!” Messer continued. “I wanted to bring awareness and HELP others and if MTV couldn’t share that then I will do it on my own the way God wants me to!!!!”

The young mom, who first appeared on MTV’s second season of 16 and Pregnant in 2010, entered a treatment center for a 30-day program last summer to get help for her struggle against depression and stress. Her efforts to seek help were documented on season 6 of Teen Mom 2.

“As hard as it was to go through. I know there’s reasoning why I went through it,” she went on to explain of her troubles. “And it hurts to feel BETRAYED by the ones I THOUGHT I could trust with my story. It goes to show you how ’THE ENTERTAINMENT WORLD’ really is and I guess everyone will see where I REALLY am starting episode 4. #SUCHASHAME When others that is suffering could ALREADY be reaching out for help.”

The reality personality added that she does want to continue to share her life and struggles with viewers, but noted that she refuses “to allow it to be twisted for the benefit of a network.”

MTV declined to comment.

Teasers for this latest season have shown that Messer and Simms will continue the custody battle over their girls, and daughter Ali’s strength declining as her muscular dystrophy progresses.

Teen Mom 2 airs on MTV Mondays at 10 p.m. ET.
