Lily Allen Name-Drops Beyonce, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga in New “Sheezus” Music Video: Who Did She Diss?

Bold move, Lily Allen! The British singer, 28, released a new music video on Wednesday, April 23, coining herself the female “Sheezus” and calling out a variety of industry heavyweights including Beyonce, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga

The funky new visuals to Allen’s “Sheezus” begin with a Parental Advisory label. She is shown in electric colors as she sings about her place in the industry.

Before proclaiming “Give me that crown, bitch / I wanna be Sheezus,” the Grammy nominee name-drops major female artists, heralding Australian wunderkind Lorde and throwing shade at Lady Gaga.

“RiRi isn’t scared of Katy Perry’s roaring / Queen B’s going back to the drawing,” Allen sings. “Lorde smells blood, yeah, she’s about to slay you / Kid ain’t one to f–k with when she’s only on her debut / We’re all watching Gaga, L-O-L ah-ha / Dying for the art so, really, she’s a martyr.”

The video accompanies the title track off of the crooner’s latest album Sheezus. The project is set to drop on May 5. Watch Allen call out her competitors in the video above.
